Testimonials
“Many EDS patients have encountered healthcare professionals who dismissed their symptoms, offered ineffectual (or even harmful) treatments, or simply gave up on them. I was one of those EDS patients. I was fortunate to find physical therapist Kevin Muldowney. Kevin’s compassion, persistence, and analytical mind drove him to understand EDS and look for better ways to treat people who have EDS. In doing so, Kevin has re-defined the standard of care EDS patients can expect from physical therapists. Using his profound knowledge of biomechanics, Kevin has systematically tested and tweaked protocol and exercise routines for his EDS patients and designed a treatment program tailored to our needs. The program’s consistent end-results are joint stabilization, reduced pain, fewer physical limitations, and better quality of life. Kevin’s protocol allowed me to re-take control of my life and regain my ability to do the little things I love to do. I hope Kevin’s book will help your physical therapist do similar things for you.”

“No words can begin to describe the gratitude I have for the help and guidance Kevin has given me for the past 5 years. I live with a confusing and rare progressive condition, but thanks to Kevin, I have gone from over 3 years in a wheelchair and 19 surgeries to being back to walking. I could not have achieved this without him taking extreme interest in understanding what my condition does to the body and how to try to work around and with it. I was always happy to follow his instructions at home for I always knew they were in my best interest. We worked as team and together, we accomplished what others thought was impossible.
I would not hesitate to return to Kevin and Muldowney if the need arises. But I know he hopes that I continue to move forward with these legs. I frequently refer others that have my condition to Kevin. He is extremely intelligent and puts the patients’ well being first.”
“When I arrived last December, I was incapacitated by back pain; unable to sit or flex. I received an MRI and Kevin correctly read it to diagnose spondylolisthesis . After therapy and since then, my flexibility has returned completely and I am pain free.”
“When I first came to see Linda, I was having pain through the neck and shoulder area. With Linda’s help with physical therapy, the pain went away and she showed me ways to improve myself. This is my second time as a patient for Muldowney Physical Therapy. I have been very impressed with Kevin and Linda and would suggest people to come and make appointments with them.”
“Excellent care throughout my treatment. Always on time with friendly service. Feel much better now that my therapy is complete. A pleasure coming and would recommend to anyone.”
“I came to Muldowney Physical Therapy after injuring my rotator cuff doing pilates and yoga. For several weeks I had continued to exercise and realized my injury needed attention. Muldowney Physical Therapy was excellent in assessing the injury and providing a plan to ameliorate the shoulder injury. My therapist, Linda, was very professional and knowledgeable. She was very encouraging as she gradually built stamina in my shoulder. I am very pleased with my results and would gladly recommend this facility.”
“I went to Muldowney Physical Therapy because of tightness and pain in lower back. I was in pain both sitting and standing. I was shown how to do lower back exercises and stretching. It worked very well for me quickly. I will continue this workout myself. Thank you for the help.”
“PT was great. I was in awful pain in my left forearm. Kevin was a perfect healer. Now I am fine and can sew and am able to attend Curves again.”
“I have had a marked increase in strength, coordination and endurance since beginning this program. In addition to standard exercises, Kevin used different techniques to loosen extremely tight muscles that were causing much of the pain. This is not the typical physical therapy that groups people together for repeated exercise. It is an individualized plan with excellent results.”
“Trouble with pain with pushing/pulling – like opening doors. Unable to lift more than a few pounds without pain. Pain when turning wrist. Unable to straighten elbow or bend up all the way. Now I can do everything normally without pain. I can completely straighten/bend elbow. No pain when pushing/pulling. Able to lift weights without pain.”
“Before seeing Kevin Muldowney, the pain in my right shoulder and neck area limited a number of my daily activities. This included simple tasks like driving, talking on the cell phone or carrying bags. I found myself always in continuous pain and using my left arm whenever possible. After working with Kevin, my shoulder has gained back its full strength and range of motion. There is no longer constant irritation and I am able to continue my workouts at the gym. Kevin and his staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Working with them not only helped my injury, but having a friendly staff was an excellent plus.”
“Before coming to Muldowney Physical Therapy, I was unable to participate in army physical fitness training exercise on my own, or even walk comfortably with my pulled hamstring. After completion of my physical therapy, I am able to perform better than I was before my injury. I now participate successfully in all the activities mentioned above.”
“Could not look left all the way turning head. Can turn with no pain now.Had weakness in pinky and index fingers and pain in upper arm. Doctor missed pinched nerve in neck which Kevin picked up on right away. After working with him on over 5 visits, feel great. Arm and fingers are much better and have no pain.”
“Thank you so much for helping me with my back. I appreciate all of your patience and flexibility on my progress. Sorry for the setbacks. Thanks for keeping me in line and putting my back back in line. I love all the work I have to do because it will make me stronger eventually. I still and probably always will hate those marches because I can’t keep my butt up always 🙂 Again, thanks for always showing me what to do before I have to do it. I hope I get to see you again, but not because I need to have you fix me.
Thanks Joe”
“I had a very positive physical therapy experience with Linda Latourneau. Before the therapy, I could only sit for 5 minutes and walk around the house. Now I feel stronger and able to work and do household tasks as needed. I think the hands-on approach as well as the exercises contributed to a positive recovery. I would highly recommend Linda.”
“Since I have been coming to Muldowney Physical Therapy my lower back has become stronger and more stable. Doing the exercises makes a huge difference as well as following specific directions. My neck is also aligned properly now and my shoulder is also stronger. I personally prefer the hands-on approach better than just exercise. To me, I have also learned my specific problems and know how to avoid them. Kevin explains all muscles and their connections with the skeleton of the body. Personally the personal touch and explaining what is being worked on is for me the way to go.”

“I am writing today to thank Muldowney Physical Therapy, and my wonderful physical therapist Linda Letourneau for helping me regain my health. The past year and a half has been a long and painful journey. I contracted Lyme Disease after being bitten by a deer tick in October 2012. The bacteria invaded my body and as a result I was very ill and became quite sedentary. Most of my days were spent in an easy chair because my strength and energy were robbed. The Lyme bacteria had spread through blood and muscles and left me exhausted.
There is not enough known about Lyme Disease. Unfortunately, most people who are bitten go from one doctor toanother to the next wondering why they are so ill. My treatment of oral medication was for almost a year. After feeling somewhat better it was my decision to return to my employment as a visiting nurse. It wasn’t long before I realized my muscles were in no condition to be an employed person. I would work half a day and would be in pain for the entire rest of the day. At that point I searched the internet for a physical therapist that was familiar with Lyme Disease. Muldowney Physical Therapy has a wonderful site explaining the expertise of physical therapist Linda Letourneau. I had immediately contacted Muldowney.
During a period of three months Linda instructed me about exercising my body strength. She also introduced me to a wonderful therapy called craniosacral therapy. My entire experience with Linda has been excellent. She was always patient, kind and inspiring. I am pleased to report my energy level and mobility have improved greatly. I feel as if I am now able to begin my life again.
I am very grateful for all the wonderful care I received from Linda, and the staff at Muldowney Physical Therapy. It is my goal to continue to exercises Linda taught me so I can experience the very best quality of life.”
“After approximately 6 months of left shoulder and neck pain, I went to physical therapy two times a week for several weeks. I received hands-on treatment with a series of exercises to do at home. Each week showed progress and less pain. My range-of-motion greatly improved without difficulty and discomfort. I am very satisfied with my experience at Muldowney Physical Therapy. I was doubtful about traveling 30 minutes each way when there were other physical therapists so close to my home. I am very happy that I decided to travel the extra distance and would definitely recommend this group to my family and friends.”
“I was referred to Muldowney Physical Therapy by my neurologist after a pre-existing condition related to a completely fractured number one vertebra was aggravated while under anesthesia for an operation for a partly detached Achilles Tendon. The operation required me to be face down and moved in the process and in the interim an old injury was aggravated.
I visited my doctor with complaints of severe headaches and discomfort and after reviewing an MRI he prescribed physical therapy and highly recommended Kevin Muldowney.
On my first appointment I have to tell you it seemed to be a paradox; as it unfolded I found this gentle giant who appeared to have all the makings of an offensive lineman for a pro football team possessed the most sensitive hands I have ever therapeutically experienced. It is not to be confused with case sensitive but more of an intuitive kinesthetic intelligence that perceived every tissue and any obstruction interfering with normal bodily function upon touch and what to do to adjust the problems in developmental sequence for optimum healing. That is a substantial asset to accompany a very scientific medical background that in combination translated as healing synergy in my humble opinion.
It wasn’t long into my visits that we developed a very beneficial relationship. Kevin not only worked with adept skill to alleviate pain, which was his first priority, but he took the time to describe the process and explain in a teaching manner the whole scope of his approach to healing as well as his techniques and what we could expect in the applied progression.
I was very impressed with the positive results we shared, which included other multiple problems that surfaced while undergoing treatment. Kevin Muldowney is amazing, not only by the fact that he is extremely gifted and talented, but also that he is a complete human being of the utmost character.
I mentioned earlier that his first priority was removing pain but that was slightly out of context because his real first priority is taking the best care and interest in anyone that walks through his door.
I am a bottom line type of guy and so when the smoke clears, I’m looking at the results and I have to say his work on me was beyond commendable. I would honestly and strongly recommend and encourage anyone seeking help in this field to do themselves a favor and use his services. Beyond his professional life, Kevin is a great family man who is very interesting, generous to a fault and, like everyone else, likes to have some fun along the way. This testimony to Kevin is the complete truth as best as I can express it and I couldn’t be more sincere.”
“Prior to physical therapy with Kevin, I could not take deep breaths due to pain in my chest, called costochondritis. I could not sing and I couldn’t lift without sharp pain. Also, I couldn’t lie on my left side. I am very, very happy.”
“Upon receiving the physical therapy referral from my doctor, I expressed concern about going to a physical therapist who has a record of being very effective. Muldowney Physical Therapy definitely has lived up to my expectations. Due to the car accident, I had limited mobility in my neck that affected other parts of my spine and shoulder. Linda recognized all of the problems and made me well. I could not have chosen a better physical therapist and have recommended Muldowney Physical Therapy and Linda to several people”
“The experience I have had at Muldowney Physical Therapy has been excellent. Linda was thorough and professional. She has a great rapport with her patients and a great knowledge of her profession. I would recommend anyone to visit your office. Thanks to your entire staff for treating me and helping with my problem.”
“When I first arrived, I couldn’t push off my left foot. I had a large lump (hematoma) in my left calf. I had little to no strength in my left ankle. As of this date, 7/27/11, I have doubled the mobility in my left foot and ankle. Joe broke up the old scar tissue in my ankle and also broke up the hematoma in my left calf. He has been the only physical therapist to successfully help me walk.”
“Just to let you know that if it wasn’t for Kevin, my arm would have had to have surgery. This man has helped me greatly. He takes the time to listen and question what I am doing. He made me take pictures of me sitting at my desk so he could adjust my chair and keyboard and mouse so it wouldn’t hurt my elbow any longer. I would recommend him to anybody who asks for a PT. He is great and gentle and caring”
“My experience with physical therapy was a great one. When I first arrived, I could not even lift a coffee cup or open a door because of my tennis elbow. Linda established a program and regimen that nursed me back to full health in only 11 sessions. I saw continuous progress during the physical therapy program and I slowly began resuming activities that I couldn’t do because of my injury. I can now do everything I did before I hurt my elbow. I feel Linda did a tremendous job. It is very obvious she knows what she is doing and the results speak for themselves. My wife also had a great experience with Linda earlier this year. I would definitely recommend Muldowney Physical Therapy to anyone seeking recovery from an injury like mine.”
“When I first came for physical therapy I couldn’t walk without two crutches, bend, kneel, etc. My goal was to walk without crutches in three weeks because my daughter was getting married and I wanted to walk without assistance that day. With the help of Joe, I was able to reach that goal. Now, after a few months of therapy, I can do practically everything I did before I broke my hip (cleaning and household chores, gardening, walking, etc.) and I also can sleep at night without pain on my right side. I’m doing much better than I thought I would in a few months of therapy with Joe. I would highly recommend Muldowney Physical Therapy to anyone who needs any type of physical therapy.”
